Licencing

We encourage all our members and supply chain practitioners to fully familiarize with the detailed requirements of the law, applicants seeking to be licensed are required to comply to the requirements as outlined here (as Individual or Firm license)

1. Supplies Practitioners License - Individuals

Please note that licence application is done online through our member self-service portal
Licence Application Procedure:
Ensure you have activated your account through our online self-registration portal –
Log into your account.
On My documents tab and proceed to apply for a licence.
The following are requirements for Licence application;

  1. Be a full member or fellow of KISM
  2. Academic and professional examination certificates (dip/degree/postgraduate course in procurement and supplies or CIPs level 6/CPSP-K part 3)
  3. National ID/Passport
  4.  Applicants are required to indicate the level of their professional experience and practical training during the last three years
  5. Curriculum vitae (CV)
  6. Valid Membership Card
    Fees
    -First time application -Payment of Kshs 6,000 (a pro-forma invoice will be generated at the last section of your application)
    -Annual renewal:Payment is Kshs 6,000. (Invoice can be accessed from member portal)

2. Supplies Practitioners License - Firms

Where the holder of a Registration Certificate intends to practice as a firm whether as a sole proprietor, partnership or as a body corporate, he or she shall make an application to the Registration Committee for a Supplies Practitioners License.
Registration Requirements

  1. Application form duly signed by the Managing Supplies Practitioners in the firm
  2. Copy of certificate of registration of the company
  3. Copy of the latest financial statements.
  4. Shareholders, Owners or Members as defined in the Memorandum of Association or statute under which it is constituted are at all times individually licensed as Supplies Practitioners.
  5. Copies of Supplies Practitioners Licenses of key personnel engaged by the firm
  6. Copy of Articles and Memorandum of Association
  7. Tax compliance certificate
  8. Registration fee Ksh. 20,000.00
